The Tourist Attractions of Dippach:

As a commune, Dippach sits in the southwestern part of the small European country of Luxembourg, while the town of Dippach is in the north east of the commune. Not readily known as one of Luxembourg’s top tourist destinations, Dippach’s main claim to fame is the fact that the nearby railway station is named after the town as well as the nearby town of Reckange-sur-Mess. With the railway station being so close, and the main airport for Luxembourg less than 20 kilometres away, there’s good access to Dippach so you could spend your holiday staying in the town. Use Dippach as a base for exploring the rest of Luxembourg as this could be a more affordable alternative to staying in Luxembourg City for example.

Within the City of Luxembourg there are many famous landmarks and this is a place that you could happily visit on several occasions during a stay in Dippach. You can probably get on a train or a bus into the city, and because Luxembourg City is quite compact you won’t need a car to get around. Many tourists enjoy seeing the sights by foot or on bicycle.

The city is divided into two main sections: the High City, and the Low City. The High City is the oldest medieval part of Luxembourg City and has many beautiful buildings and views to enjoy, but the Low City can be equally as pretty and shouldn’t be overlooked. Overall there’s the Grand Ducal Palace, the cathedral, abbey, museums and monuments to see here.

Elsewhere in Luxembourg, and all within fairly easy reach of Dippach are several other towns and places worth visiting. Dirkirch for example is famous for its National Museum of Military History, which is largely dedicated tom the famous Battle of the Bulge that took place during World War 2.

Echternach is believed to be Luxembourg’s oldest town and it features an attractive town square plus remains from Roman times and the old abbey that dates back to 698, the year the town was founded.

Vianden is one of the most picturesque towns in Luxembourg, and some might say in Europe. Set on the River Our, the town is extremely beautiful and Vianden Castle is the top landmark here.
